How do I get to Le Lardin-saint-Lazare?

To get to Le Lardin Saint-Lazare, we advise you to take a TGV or TER train to Bordeaux and change at Bordeaux or Libourne to Le Lardin Saint-Lazare (TER).

We advise you to take care when booking and getting your bikes on the trains, which is not always easy depending on the time of departure.

How do I get to Sarlat-la-Canéda?

To reach Sarlat, the route is fairly well served by Libourne and Bordeaux stations. However, the train connection between departure and arrival may require connections. Be careful when transporting unmounted bicycles, which can be complicated on the TER lines Saintes/Angoulême (line 16) or Saintes/Bordeaux (line 16 or D15) and Bordeaux/Sarlat (line D15) and Périgueux/Sarlat (TER). Bicycles are allowed on board TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine trains at no extra charge in the authorised spaces (on average, 6 places per train, subject to availability). Bicycles may be refused in the event of heavy traffic or disruption. However, dismantled bicycles in a 130x90cm bag are authorised.

How do I park my car when leaving Rochefort?

The first level of information about parking in Rochefort can be found on the City of Rochefort website: https://www.ville-rochefort.fr/annuaires/parkings.

The Town Hall (05 46 82 65 00) or the Rochefort Tourist Office (05 46 99 08 60) will be able to give you more informed advice.

If you're staying in Rochefort the night before you leave, be aware that some Accueil Vélo accommodation may allow guests to park their vehicles for a long period. Don't hesitate to ask the accommodation provider.

How do I park my car from Sarlat?

Free car parks, seasonal pay car parks, year-round pay car parks, on-street parking - Sarlat has almost 3,500 spaces close to the town centre.

How do I park my car from Thiviers?

For parking in Thiviers, there is a car park accessible from the N21. This car park is located behind the town hall and the treasury. To help you find your way around, this car park is on the left, and on the right you can see the stadium and the municipal park.

Can I take my bike on the train?

Many TER trains have a specific space for bicycles. However, this is not the case for all TER and Intercités trains. On TGV trains, where bicycles can be carried, a charge is often made. Where can I park my motorhome?

You can identify the motorhome parks along the route directly from our website (interactive map). You can see them by activating the ‘Motorhome areas’ filter under ‘Accommodation’ on the right of the map. You can also contact your destination's tourist office directly. They will be able to tell you the nearest motorhome parks.

Is there a preferred direction for this route?

The official direction of La Flow Vélo is from Sarlat-la-Canéda to Ile d'Aix. However, it is entirely possible to cycle in the opposite direction. It's up to you to choose the direction that suits you best.
