Do you want to reach the start point of your cycling adventure by car? Then consider leaving your car close to a suitable train station, making the return journey to your car that much easier.

The tourist office (Office de Tourisme) closest to your start point should be able to provide you with information on car parks available nearby. Go to the website onepark.fr to view availability and even book a space in the towns of Angoulême or Rochefort. 

How to find a car park if starting out from Rochefort?

How to find a car park if starting out from Sarlat?

With some free car parks, some car parks that charge fees in holiday periods, and some car parks that charge fees year-round, plus the possibility of parking along certain streets, the town of Sarlat can provide almost 3,500 spaces close to the town centre.

How to find a car park if starting out from Thiviers?

As regards parking your car in Thiviers, you’ll find a suitable car park coming from the N21 road, behind the Mairie (town hall) and the Trésor Public. To help you locate it, as you arrive at the place, the car park will be to the left, while to the right, you’ll be able to see the stadium and municipal park.

How to find a car park if starting out from Angoulême?

To park your car if using Angoulême as your start point, you could simply leave your vehicle in the station car park, for which you’ll need to pay.

Alternatively, on the outskirts of Angoulême and close to La Flow Vélo cycle route, you could park in one of the car-sharing areas (aires de co-voiturage in French), notably the following:

• the aire de co-voiturage at Fléac  (3km from La Flow Vélo - 14mins)
• the aire de co-voiturage in St-Yrieix-sur-Charente (4.5km from La Flow Vélo - 17 minutes)
• the aire de co-voiturage at Champniers (9km from La Flow Vélo - 40 minutes)
