La Roue Blanche
70,86 km cycling loop from Port d'Envaux
Along a 77 km route, the picturesque villages are revealed in turn to the rhythm of discoveries: churches, castles, abbeys, market garden valleys... and hidden gems. Connected to the Flow Vélo linking Sarlat (Dordogne) to the island of Aix and to La Vélodyssée, a cycle route between Roscoff (Brittany) and Hendaye (Basque Country), the Roue Blanche forms a cycle loop crossing preserved landscapes. The circuit is cut by a variant which allows you to make a loop of 29km or 55km. Between green nature and emblematic buildings of Roman art, the route offers an authentic immersion. In Crazannes and Port-d'Envaux, take a break on the "Sentier de la Pierre Levée", a site labeled "Échappées Nature", to explore the stone quarries of Crazannes, the Lapidiales or the Galaxie des Pierres Levées, testimonies of the rich heritage of Saintonge.
