Train: Returning to Sarlat from Rochefort or Angoulême

Rochefort → Sarlat

To travel by train Rochefort → Sarlat, first you need to take a regional TER train, or then an Intercité train, from Rochefort to Bordeaux; there, change for a second TER train taking you to Sarlat. Angoulême → Sarlat

For the train trip Angoulême → Sarlat, you have the choice between changing at Bordeaux-Saint-Jean station or then at Libourne station (some way east of Bordeaux). To go from Angoulême to Libourne or Bordeaux, you can either board a TER regional train or a TGV high-speed train for the first leg of the journey; for the second leg, take a further regional train to Sarlat.
